What To Wear
The most important item of clothing is your footwear. A boot or Wellington that has a slight heel, to catch the stirrup, is essential. For health and safety reasons trainers are not allowed. Riding boots and half chaps are ideal.
Leg wear must be comfortable. Whilst jeans are acceptable, they are sometimes rough and do not allow adequate leg movement.
Track suit bottoms or jodhpurs are preferable. On warm days, a T-shirt that covers the shoulders will be sufficient under the body protector. On colder days, a fleece or jacket over the body protector may be needed.
Riding gloves, to prevent the reins from slipping through your hands, are always a good idea.
